Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

VisitBrief is a pilot-phase communication aid that helps patients and caregivers organize appointment information into a clinician-ready brief. This page summarizes what data we collect, how we use it, where it is handled, and how to contact us about privacy questions.

Information We Collect

  • Account data such as your email address for passwordless sign-in.
  • Profile details you enter, such as name, year of birth, and pronouns.
  • Interview responses, health context, generated briefs, and related app records.
  • Operational security data such as authentication events and limited incident logs.
  • Limited request metadata needed to operate and secure the public web service.
  • Browser storage and cookies used for essential preferences, such as language selection, analytics consent, and optional local-only vault settings.

How We Use Information

  • To authenticate you and let you access your account.
  • To store your profile, interview responses, and generated briefs.
  • To display briefs and support the print and export options currently available.
  • To remember local browser preferences you choose on this device.
  • To monitor availability, investigate incidents, and improve the pilot.

Service Providers and Data Handling Locations

  • Supabase (Canada Central): persistent storage for application data, authentication, database records, and related service data.
  • Cloudflare: public HTTPS request proxying, TLS delivery, and cached public assets through a global edge network.
  • Hetzner (Germany): current web application runtime and request processing for the public app.

VisitBrief follows a Canada-first posture for persistent application data. Persistent user data is stored in Supabase's Canada Central region. Public request handling and application runtime currently occur outside Canada through Cloudflare and a Germany-based Hetzner VPS, so some request processing and operational metadata may be handled outside Canada.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can review and edit information in your profile and interview responses.
  • You can print or save a generated brief and export the brief data formats available in-app.
  • You can delete saved briefs from the product today.
  • You can contact us to request broader account, export, correction, or deletion support.

The current pilot does not yet expose in-product care-circle sharing, clinician share links, or a user-facing activity log view.

Pilot Status
